My Story: “I was jobless & homeless in NYC”
I learned my hardest financial lessons on the streets of New York City.
I had just become a born-again Christian and left my career in the entertainment industry.

I had no job and was essentially homeless in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
During that season of staying with friends, hopping from one Airbnb to another, and trusting God for my next meal to eat, I eventually landed a job with one of the owners of the Airbnbs I stayed in. I became one of his house managers, which was mostly a glorified title for cleaning lady (because cleaning is mostly what I did).

I continued this job into marriage. I remember being pregnant, and my husband would meet me at my job to help so that I didn’t have to bend over to clean floors. We married two years into this job, but while I was in a better position financially (meaning not homeless), we were still starting our marriage in a rocky financial situation (with a lot of debt).

We went through some hardship in the first several years and made a lot of financial mistakes. But it all led us on a journey to trust Jesus as our provider, and learn His way of handling life and money.
This is the backdrop of every talk I give and piece of content I create. My prayer is that my story and the lessons I learned will help others avoid money mistakes and give hope to ANY situation. If God helped me, He can help you too!
